Community Borrowers (Visitors)
Welcome to Corriher-Linn-Black Library! We are open to the public during normal operating hours, and offer limited services (explained below) for all visitors. If you have any questions about services or access, please call our Help Desk at 704-637-4448.
What is a Community Borrower?
A community borrower is anyone who has registered for library privileges. You must reside in Rowan, Cabarrus, Davidson, Davie, Iredell, or Stanly counties, be at least sixteen years of age, and have a valid I.D. card. Community borrowers are allowed up to six books at checkout (from our Circulating Collection), Wi-Fi privileges, use of the copier for a charge, in-house use of headphones, and use of library space, as available.
Register to Become a Community Borrower
Simply bring a valid photo I.D. (driver’s license, passport, or government issued I.D. card) that lists your current address to the Help Desk (which is located to your right as you enter the library) and ask to sign up as a Community Borrower. If your photo I.D. does not have your current address, we ask that you bring an official document (utility bill, lease, bank statement, etc.) with proof of your current address. You will then be asked to fill out a registration card, and be given a blue Pleiades library card. You can then use this card to check out books or headphones.
