Catawba College / CLB Library / Services / Collection Development / Collection Analysis
Collection Analysis is a means by which to measure the content of the collection. Historical Analysis measures the age of the collection in each subject area. Comparative Analysis measures the content of the collection against Choice's Oustanding Academic Titles.
The Catawba College Library recently obtained a collection analysis from OCLC's Automated Collection Analysis Services (ACAS). The results are available over the web, and require a login and password. Please contact Constance Grant (cbgrant@catawba.edu), Head of Collection Development, for a login and password.
We are currently reviewing comparative analysis tools to determine the best way to provide current information on this topic. Lists of titles from our most recent comparative analysis are available at Alibris, and require a login and a password. Please contact Constance Grant (cbgrant@catawba.edu), Head of Collection Development, for a login and password.
